Orang-utans eat huge amounts of pulpy fruit and supplement their diets with leaves, shoots, bark, insects, honey and very occasionally bird eggs. None has been known to eat fish. Extensive studies of the droppings of both species have been conducted (what a glamorous Ph.D. project that would have been) and no evidence of the consumption of fish has ever been found. I don't know what the orang-utan in this photo is doing, but he isn't spearing fish.
